2016 is shaping up to be a busy year for the popular UIAA Global Youth Series. Three events have already taken place with another five lined up for the European summer months.

The UIAA Global Youth Series welcomes climbers and mountaineers from around the world to come together to embrace their love for the sport and outdoor life, to make friends, develop their core skills and appreciate the environment. Events are organised in conjunction with expert and qualified coaches.

Four events have already taken place, with ice climbing meets in Cuneo, Italy and in Guillestre, France as well as a youth climbers spring meeting in Fontainebleau, France and a rock climbing camp in Arco, Trento (Italy).

Five youth climbing camps are coming up. Tarragona (Spain) will host a youth climbing camp from 2-8 July and a similar weeklong event will be held in Ariege (France) a week later. Georgia will host a Mountaineering School camp between the end of July and beginning of August. A rock climbing hiking and mountain orientation camp will be held in Serbia in mid August before a youth summer camp on Mount Sabalan, Iran from 23-30 August. Diverse locations celebrating the same message – bring the young climbers and mountaineers of the world together.
